Mike founded Shoal in 2002 turning a background in physics and a keen IT interest into what is now a long-standing commercial enterprise. Over the years, and under Mike’s guidance, Shoal has undertaken a broad array of projects for its diverse client base, with many of these relationships lasting for well over a decade.


Mike’s innate ability to understand client IT requirements and propose practical solutions, combined with a friendly and professional Helpdesk provides Shoal’s clients with the confidence that they have the right IT solution.

  • We formed Caphaven in 2014 and in 2019 needed to overhaul our existing IT set up. Having known Mike since 2005, we asked Shoal to undertake a review of how we might improve our systems and network. Shoal handled the project to migrate to Microsoft 365 along with consolidation of our files in an efficient manner with minimal disruption to the business – a great testament to Mike’s professional approach.
